Lactation Education

While breastfeeding is natural and recommended, it is a learned skill. Prenatal preparation can enhance confidence and start your breastfeeding journey off on a smoother note.

Breast anatomy
Basics of making milk (colostrum vs mature milk)
What to expect in labor and delivery
What to expect day 1-3
What to expect day 3-12
Paced bottle feeding
Common challenges
Pumping

Class is 2 hours. Cost is $200 in person- $175 virtual

Lactation Consultations

An In-Home Lactation Consultation within the first few days will set you up for breastfeeding success. A plan of care will be developed and provided to ensure confidence post-consultation. Parents will have the ability to text for further help post-consult. Follow-up visits may be suggested either in-home or via Zoom.

A 30-minute online session (mini-consult) can also be scheduled. This might be great for an experienced breastfeeding parent who has a few questions but doesn't need a complete lactation assessment and plan of care.

In-Home consults or In-Office are 90 minutes. Cost is $250. Area must be within 15 miles of 07751.
